Sünopsis

Events in Hartford. Flood in the suburb. A long take about the parade of Shiners' clubs on Farmington Avenue, Hartford, in 1950. Trick-car driving: driving on front and back wheels and mini cars. Unique club cars, respected club members driving in cabriolets, orchestras marching in front rows of columns. The marching is paced by brass and stringed instruments, drums and fifes. Police is observing the course of parade. Club members on saddle horses and motorbikes. The Shriners' stay at Hotel Commodore that is decorated. Street traffic. Club members departing. Graduation ceremony of Hartford's Trinity College takes place in the college chapel - graduates wearing gowns, graduates and lecturers are heading to the church. Again a view of the parade of Shriners' clubs, new cars are being shown. The graduation party of Springfield College takes place in Memorial Field House. John Baltsar wearing a lecturer's gown, driving to the college with his wife. Campus of Springfield College, Beveridge Centre, parking lot with cars. Baltsar has filmed a vacation trip to Florida in 1963. Swimming in ocean waves, feeding seagulls, local architecture.
