Sünopsis

Expatriate Estonians arrive at Washington by plane. They are flying above the main building of the Ministry of Defence of USA in Pentagon, located near Washington. Arvo Horm with Birger Nerman and other expatriate Estonians near the Capitol Hill. Views of Washington D.C. Visiting Arlington National Cemetery. Official memorial event is held in the cemetery - military servicemen bring wreaths to the eternal flame, surrounded by a small fence. There are lots of people at the event. The journey back goes in parallel with the River Potomac that divides Arlington county and the capital. Visiting the monument of Ukranian poet Taras Shevchenko. A wreath by the Baltic Committee is left at the foot of the monument. There is a parade in the city, among the participants there are representatives from various states, columns of unions, educational institutions and enterprises. All participants are colourfully dressed; cheerleaders or dancers in front of orchestras; glamorous beauties in cabriolettes. US flags are carried. Policemen are securing the event. In honor of the seven US astronauts, a vehicle carries a model of a rocket and a photograph of astronauts with their names. Expatriate Estonians near the United States Capitol and in the offices. Advertisement of the world fair taking place in New York City.
