Sünopsis

Siim-Tanel Annus was one of the main performance artists in Estonia in 1980-1993. In the film, the artist says that his attempt is to express something that cannot be forwarded through words or paper. The film full of images and associations aims at touching the borders between life and death. Keywords of this kind of creative activity are: blindfolded human being, burden, fire and rituals related to fire. The refined geometrical abstract figures in the early printed works by SIim-Tanel Annus express the endeavour to exit the daily routine towards the sky and the light. "Nine Mantras", a musical piece by Peeter Vähi, is performed and the artist is telling about his efforts and visions in making art.
