Sünopsis

Saaremaa Islanders' Society was the oldest society of expatriate Estonians in Canada who initiated the construction of Toronto Estonian House. At the festive celebration of the 35th anniversary of the society the following people hold their speeches: Voldemar Gustavson, head of the Saaremaa Islanders' Society; Ilmar Heinsoo, the Honorary Consul of Estonia in Canada; Johannes Vihma, entrepreneur and the Finnish Boy; Edgar Link, head of the Hiiumaa Islanders' Society; and Robert Kreem, social scientist and founder of ESTO. Priest Emanuel Lepik talks about Aadu Kingissepp (Viktor Kingissepp's grandfather and a blacksmith from Kuressaare) and his family who promoted being an Estonian in Saaremaa. Letters of gratitude are being handed over to the active members of the society.
