Trivimi Velliste speaks in Toronto (2) (1988)

Trivimi Velliste was invited to Canada by the Estonian Heritage Protection Society's Friends in the autumn of 1988. He talks about the activities and future plans of Estonian Heritage Protection Society. He will answer the questions asked by the audience, concerning the donations and grants, and explains the plan to establish a foundation in Helsinki, Finland. The audience asks about the restoration of Estonian language as the national language in Estonia and Velliste explains the situation. People in the hall discuss the opportunities for young expatriate Estonians to visit Estonia, collaboration with the archives abroad and the importance of preserving the archives.
