In the State of Limbo (2014)

Transnistria is an internationally unrecognized state that has declared itself independent. It is located on the left bank of the Dniester on the territory of Moldova, next to Europe. While being located under the sphere of influence of its former "mother country" Moldova and even more being influenced by Russia, Transnistria attempts to form some kind of national identity for itself. Under the leadership of dictatorial president Igor Smirnov everything reminds of the golden era of propagandism in the Soviet Union. Charismatic leader has been building the country on the ruins of Soviet Union – the air castle exists only thanks to the charity from Russia. Elections will be coming in December 2011. Will the people let Smirnov to continue as the leader after his 21 years of being the president or will one of Smirnov's competitors be win?
