Sünopsis

Work in the workshops of Volta Tehased factories. Introducing the veterans. Gathering in the yard of the factory. The buildings of Volta factory in Tallinn. General view of the production department, men are working behind the workbenches. Voiceover recalls how comrade Kalinin, the chairman of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of USSR, used to work in Volta in 1905. Old veterans still remember him. The picture of Kalinin is still hanging on the wall of the workshop. Voiceover introduces the factory veterans: comrade Hubelmann who has worked in Volta for 40 years; comrade Voormann, activist of 1905; comrade Preismann, Stakhanovite-machinist who has filled the quota for 29 years. Gathering in the factory yard. People wave the flag depicting the word "Volta" and the Soviet slogan. Big picture of Kalinin high above the heads. A worker holds a speech. Voiceover says: "After adopting the Stalinist constitution, the staff of Volta factory addressed the Council of the People's Commissar of the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic with the request to rename the Volta factory Kalinin Factory. The resolution was approved unanimously". The people at the gathering applauding with joy and raising their hands.
