Film about my mother (2007)

Elderly Helju Laiapea lost her mother, father and three brothers during a short period of time when she was only a child - she lost her childhood and home. When Helju was 24, she buried her first son. The woman has never got over her losses - fear of losing her close ones and the idea of her own approaching death have always accompanied her. In the spring of 2007, the director introduced Naatan Haamer, a church minister, to his mother. (Vahur Laiapea had started to make a film about Haamer at that point). The meeting led into another documentary - about the director's mother, her anguish and her love.
