A creative documentary by Paul-Anders Simma about the transforming relationship between human beings and bears in Lapland.
For many Fenno-Ugrian peoples the bear was a sacred being. The Sami of Scandinavia still regard the bear as the great grandfather and as the original source of their people. In the old times the most powerful shamans where seen as bears. Today the reality is different. The economy of the Sami`s is under stiff competitions from big businesses. To make a living in the rural areasi s hard. Under circumstances like this, how is it possible to co-exist, with a brother that sometimes steals your food?
