Artist Rein Tammik is painting a portrait of wrestler Georg Lurich commissioned by a karate club. There is a training going on in Rataskaevu Street while at the same time basement rooms are being dug for the future leisure room. Priit Kelder, teacher of Eastern martial arts, talk about Lurich as a personality whom he considers to be the founder of the man-to-man fight in Estonia. Karate competition "Tallinn Cup" starts a new tradition in the Soviet Union, both young and professional experienced athletes take part in it. The cup stays in Estonia.
