Beautiful is the land (1984)

How far can one travel in Estonia during half an hour? And to perform everything one has seen in a flowing poetic language? The essence of the times, places, nature and people taken from the summer of 1984 when Lasnamäe district in Tallinn was young, rural life in Estonia was blooming and people mainly drove cars made in Soviet Union. Were these truly the best years of the Soviet Socialist Republic of Estonia or did it only seem so? The red roofs of the Old Town of Tallinn have always been red; Tartu will always greet the Midsummer Day with the shining eyes of the university graduates; River Kasari will always search for its way through the wetlands of Matsalu; and the picturesque field of liverworts in Lahemaa will hopefully host the family of cranes for a long years to come.
