Trauma in these Walls (2024)

Short documentary reflects on the perception of space, and the connotations that spaces carry. It tells a personal story of a filmmaker who comes back to revisit a house he used to live in while being a student in The Netherlands. The film deals with his personal experience of a life in a foreign country, in upsetting living conditions, where one’s safety is constantly jeopardized. The film leads to a truly tragic event that showcases how fragile is one’s safety, and expands on the ever-present trauma and the horrors that are crawling in- between the walls of the house, he used to call ‘home’.
