Jaan (2022)

Jaan is a 12 year old schoolboy, who travels to places, what only few people get to visit during their lifetime. He tells us a story about his latest trip to North-Pole. Spending four months in a polar day, living on a boat, facing dangerous animals like polar bears or polar-foxes and learning every day something new about the Mother-Earth. But what does it actually mean to be a child sailing the Arctic sea and discovering the world, while other kids are enjoying their summer vacation? Or how does a teenager actually understand the size of the opportunities he has given? The documentary covers a small part of Jaan’s thoughts and stories about his trip to the Arctic and introduces us a boy with much simpler wished, than travel the world.
