Documentary Duration 19:20

Sünopsis

Eduard Wiiralt (born as Eduard Viiralt, 1898-1954) is considered to be the most prominent master of Estonian printmaking in the local art history of the first half of 20th century. Wiiralt's restless and intricate life is expressed through his work that is also the object and the main expressive means of the documentary. The graphic art by Wiiralt is subjectively interpreted by Ott Kangilaski, Ülo Tambek, Rein Maran and Anti Marguste. Maran's camerawork and Marguste's music play an important part in this film. The originals of the graphic art belong to the collections of the Estonian National Art Museum and Alfred Rõude, a private art collector.
