Sünopsis

Visiting Hulda Kuusik, a former gymnast at Ernst Idla gymnastics group, who lives in Thirlmere. Tiiu Salasoo asks the old lady to recall the times when she was a gymnast at the elite gymnastics group led by Ernst Idla. Hulda Kuusik talks about successful performances and innovative performance costumes that attracted plenty of attention. Her opionion is that the book "Ernst Idla - võlur Tallinnast" ("Ernst Idla - a Wizard from Tallinn", published in Estonian in 1991) is misleading in details. If only someone would express interest towards the facts, Hulda Kuusik were immediately ready to comment on the theme. While holding the book in her hands, Hulda Kuusik tells about her personal history – when arriving at Australia, she formed a gymnastics group in Sydney. Ilma Maidla, head of the Estonian Society in Thirlmere, introduces the graves of expatriate Estonians in Thirlmere. In 1960, a lot was allocated for burying Lutherans in the local cemetery. The mourning wall was built there in 1981 in order to hold urn funerals. Here rests Leo (Leonid) Rampe, a long-time head of Estonian village and chairman of Estonian Relief Committee in Thirlmere. View to the graves and the mourning wall.
