Sünopsis

The great gathering opens with bringing in the national flags of Estonia, Canada, USA, Sweden, Australia and West Germany - the countries where Estonian scout disctricts are actively functioning. The youngest scouts light a symbolic campfire in the middle of the hall and remain seated around it. People sing the national anthem of Canada. Religious minister Andres Taul says a prayer, chief scout Endel Reinpõld holds the opening speech, scout promise is repeated and then people are singing the scout hymn. Scoutmaster Ivar Nippak introduces guests from abroad. Walter Tilden, Canadian chief scout, is being awarded the service badge of scout friend. Congratulating follows. The Estonian scoutmaster badges are given to Joe Turner (representative of the headquarters of Ontario province), Eduard Ozols (representative of Latvian scouts), Mirko Dzulynsky (representative of Ukraines), and A. Zubrits (representative of Hungarian scouts). Heino Jõe holds a speech on "Scouting in Estonia".
