Jubilee Year (2009)

The documentary takes the viewer to the visual journey taking place in the recent past where extreme optimism is going to be replaced by sobering reality during a year. Filmmakers pay attention to obligatory events: the parade of the anniversary of the Republic of Estonia and the reception of the President in Theatre Estonia. The film continues with the polemic about the War of Independence Victory Column and the new Chancellor of Justice. Filmmakers also document Uma Pido song festival in Võru county first held in 2008 as well as the punk song festival. At the end of the filming year, the economical crisis arrives and brings along dramatic events. The documentary introduces a choice of small and big events that took place in 2008.
