Rain and Johanna are raising sixty-three sled dogs and three kids in Southern Estonia. Nina from Switzerland and Sarina from Germany help them to feed huge amount of dogs and train the dogs with ATV. The whole company lives like a big family where everyone looks after each other and has an important role to fill. Rain brings the fire wood and shows how chickens become a food for dogs. Lasnamägi could be divided into two areas – industrial and a living district. In 2011 there were 108042 residents. Only 30% Estonians. Oskar has lived in Lasnamägi all of his life. In the documentary, Kivila, a district of Lasnamägi is being shown through the life of young Estonians. The young residents speak about the typical problems occuring in Lasnamägi – fights, drinkings, the differences of Russian-Estonian clutures and the misunderstandings deriving from the clash of the cultures.
Oskars mother dreams about moving away, but young Oskar is still in search for his future.

The film follows three female characters from the tiny island of Kihnu with only 346 inhabitants, struggling not to lose their faith in their homeland, which is dying out.
Kihnu is a well-known island among Estonians, partly for its odd yet very interesting traditions, the inhabitants’ sense of strong community, their own dialect which is called Kihnu Keel among other things. A problem that many people are probably not aware of is that Kihnu is facing a situation of very fast decreasing population, which can be a factor of many things like lack of job opportunities or centralization to the bigger cities. Two Finnish IT-technicians work on an important and critical job assignment when a construction worker starts bothering them above, on the roof. Instead of solving the conflict in a diplomatic manner, the technicians worsen their odds after insulting the man from the roof and thus creating a hazardous situation. Impolite communication creates a risk of losing lives.
