Documentary gives a short overview about the history of the Estonian Students' Society and the emigration era that followed the great escape from Estonia in 1944. The film focuses on the restoration of the society at the end of 1980s and its role in today's Estonia. Mare Vint, an acknowledged graphic and drawing artist, opens up the background of her sensitive artwork related to her personal exhibition "Selected views".

Mare Vint (b. 1942) discovered her artist style, a highly refined way of drawing, already in the year of 1970. Vint has depicted nature and parks with the aesthetic quality and slightly metaphysical moods. The artist regularly exhibits her litographs, serigraphs, works made with indian ink and coloured pencils both in Estonia and abroad. Her works belong to the collections of several art museums all over the world. The documentary depicts Mare Vint before and after the opening of her personal exhibition "Selected views" (2004) when the artist is working with her drawings and commenting on her creative process.
