Documentary dedicated to the memory of Jüri Müür. The film about how the master of land - the farmer – becomes the slave of land.

The documentary has documented rural life in Estonia in 1991 "from the idyllic to the idiotic" when there was no Land Reform Act. Restoring farms have started on the level of instincts, with unpolished legislation and without the new land readjustment. Perhaps just based on the farmer's sense of mission ... The filmmakers introduce three new farmers who try to build their homes without much thinking of their health.

Publicistic documentary about the gaps in the technological chain of harvesting grass plants as well as the recent achievements in storing concentrated feed for winter.

The documentary continues the style of the former collaboration films ("The Ploughman's Fatigue", "Once You Mock the Field..." etc.). Filmmakers Enn Säde and Jüri Müür thoroughly discuss the problems of storing hay in the collective farms of Estonian SSR. Instead of voiceover, the authors of the film appear on the screen and comment on various themes.

Pasture management and the developing research by agricultural scientists in this field.

Documentary introduces modern approaches in agriculture, developing the cultivated pastures that in turn promote the increase of forage in cattle breeding and to improve its quality. Our agricultural scientists may be proud to introduce their accomplishments in the breeding of several grass plants. Globallya acute topics were discussed by the scientists at the 12th International Grassland Congress in summer 1974 in Moscow. Some of the participants of the congress also studied the accomplishments of Estonian scientists both in Saku and Jõgeva.

Estonian Film Database (EFDB)

The database is maintained by NGO Estonian Film Database. It was opened on 12.12.2012 and is meant for providing information about the whole Estonian film heritage from 1912. We plan fully complete it by 2025 but already now full and partial entries for about 20 000 films, 27 000 filmmakers, and more than 200 production companies could be retrieved in Estonian and partly in English. Translation of film descriptions and keywords into English is ongoing but due to the scarcity of resources quite a slow process. Read more detailed overview.
