Adikia – Out Of The Rap Closet

Kirsikka Ruohonen was scared to perform her lyrics. Finally, she came out from the rap closet and showed that it is possible to do rap in a different way.

Rap scene all over the world has been very patriarchal and Finland is not an exception. There have not been many female rappers and time to time, they haven’t been taken seriously. Females used to be considered more as a background dancers and girlfriends, than real rap music lovers. Kirsikka Ruohonen also known as a rap artist Adikia, spent many years in a rap closet because of the toxicity in the rap scene. She wanted to be ready when she came out from the closet. Finally, she was ready to show people, what she had been doing behind closed doors.

What makes Freddy interesting is not the delight of social or textual games but rather the magnitude of what he puts at stake, the possibility of completely losing himself, and the depth of foreseeable human or metaphysical distress.
