Leinapäev Toronto raekoja ees. Leinamiitingul räägitakse traagilistest sündmustest Riias, kus eriüksuse rünnakutes hukkus viis inimest. Kõneleb Läti Vabariigi konsul Torontos Guntis Silinš. Ta tänab Kanada kogukonda toetusavalduste eest ja Toronto linnavalitsust. Silinš meenutab Nõukogude režiimi poolt oma rahvale põhjustatud kannatusi ja tõdeb, et kahetsusväärselt uputatakse inimeste vabaduspüüe tänaselgi päeval verre. Guntis Silinš asetab lilled lipumasti jalamile. Järgneb leinaminut. Miitingulised hoiavad leinalintidega Eesti, Leedu ja Läti rahvuslippe.
