Portrait documentary by Rein Raamat about Jaan Manitski, a well-off expatriate Estonian who returned to his fatherland and established an impressive cultural centre in his home village Viinistu.

This is a film about a man who returned from exile, to his home village Viinistu. As a wealthy man, it took him only a couple of years to establish a big art and culture centre there. He did not do it to make money, but to be a role model and art patron in Estonia, this country that only recently regained its independence. The position of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Estonia made him into an indisputable leader who was also nominated as a candidate for the presidency of Estonia.
