The filmmakers' question is whether this has influenced the image of the Baltic people? The documentary that has been co-produced by Estonian and Latvian filmmakers tells about artist's responsibility and creative options. The actors - Tõnu Aav from Estonia, Uldis Lieldidžs from Latvia and Algimantas Masiulis from Lithuania - express their opinion on the subject.

Documentary by Andres Sööt about the deportation that took place in June 1941 in Estonia. The film has been dedicated to all victims of this event.

Events of the past tend to fade away; however, the June deportation of 1941 has remained to the memory of Estonian people forever as one of the cruellest crimes by Soviet authorities. At the night of June 14, 1941, more than ten thousand people were deported to Siberia, most of them being women and children. The film introduces those who stayed alive in SIberia and finally returned back home. Director Andres Sööt whose family also collapsed due to the June deportation dedicates his film to all those sent to Siberia. This is an everlasting responsibility - not to forget.

Latvian mother contacts her daughter, who has taken a trip to Latvia, on the phone. The daughter happens to get into the middle of the tragic events in central Riga where the Soviet OMON commando started to shoot the unarmed protesters on barricades on January 20, 1991. Among the protesters was also her daughter. Naturally, mother's worry for her daughter's safety was extremely big, fortunately she made it.
