Documentary by Peep Puks based on Estonian national identity and culture.

Documentary commissioned by the State Television and Radio Committee of USSR about Estonian history, present day and nature conservation. There is already the touch of the liberating atmosphere of the late 1980s. The documentary is thus free from ideological dictates and nomenclatural situations. Estonian-mindedness is expressed through the selection of topic, visual language as well as the soundtrack. Among the themes there are the national identity of Estonians, fellowship, local nature and culture. The message is slightly circumspect yet emphasizing Estonian mentality and nationality throughout the film.

The film shows the emotional moments during the preparation phase of the festival, its colourful procession and the festival itself, the honoring ceremony of the choirmasters and dance masters. Maestro Gustav Ernesaks contemplates on the phenomenon of Estonian song festival tradition.

The closing event of 4th International Estonian Days held in Toronto in July 8-15, 1984 is the celebration of light "Esto Visioon" and song celebration.

4th ESTO Days take place in Toronto in July 8-15. On July 13, a celebration of light "Esto Visioon" is held where singers, folk dancers and gymnasts perform. The celebration takes place in the largest sports hall in Toronto - Maple Leaf Gardens. Participants' groups are lined up in the hall. Folk dancers and female gymnasts are performing at 11th Estonian Days on Olympic Park sports stadium in Melbourne. Young women perform an act with loops and a freestyle act. Solo performance by a gymnast. A bigger group of gymnasts on the stadium. Arrival of the folk dancers to the square. The programme includes several dances. When female folk dancers perform, male groups are sitting on the grass and watching and vice versa. When the celebration ends, dancers line up on the verge of the stadium.
