A conversation through time between a woman and her great grandmother. Piibe Kolka uses PXL2000 toy camera to record pixelated visuals and various messages on audio cassettes in an attempt to establish a time travelling communication. The film probes an epigenetic hypothesis that individual life experiences could influence biological inheritance and gene expressions. The result is a science fictional play between generations, addressing life histories, inherited doubt, and the search for possible adventures.

In the film, Mihkel and Veera dream of moving from their home in Estonia to Iceland. Events take an unexpected turn and Mihkel dies a painful death in Iceland, betrayed by his oldest friend, Igor.

Mihkel boards a ferry from his small town in Estonia to Saint Petersburg in Russia, on his way to Iceland, where he wants to make a new life for himself and his fiancée, Vera. His friend Igor, who emigrated to Iceland a few years earlier, convinces Mihkel to smuggle two bottles of liquid amphetamine and then seek payment from an  Estonian priest, who is a business partner of Igor’s in Saint Petersburg. The film introduces more closely the life and professional work of Russian poet Igor Severyanin while living in Estonia. Literary historian Sergei Issakov, translator David Samoilov, poet and actor Juhan Viiding, semiotician and literary historian Juri Lotman share their thoughts about Estonian and Russian literature. Jüri Krjukov recites Severyanin's poetry in Russian. He also reads the voiceover of the film in Estonian.
