Revolutionist veteran and ex-militaryman Karl Ränni, who was also V. I. Lenin's personal telegraphist, is now a 90-year-old man who writes a book about his life. Life events took the young man from Estonia to Kronstadt, among the revolutionary sailors who took part in the attack to the Winter Palace. After the victory of the October Revolution, Ränni worked as a personal telegraphist with Lenin. There is a lot to recall.

Murder on the 31st Floor Part II

The political detective film directed by Peeter Urbla is based on the sci-fi novel "Murder on the 31st Floor" by Swedish writer Per Wahlöö, warning against the social effects of media corruption.

Police officer Jensen tells to evacute the whole building of a leading media group after a bomb threat is made. There won't be any explosion; however, the media group sustains big losses because of the work stoppage and the management requires investigation of the case and make no public notice about it. Officer Jensen identifies six suspects, then finds out that he is being followed, especially when he gets involved with the 31st floor. Investigations lead to confessions and the case will be closed. Estonian Film Database (EFDB)

The database is maintained by NGO Estonian Film Database. It was opened on 12.12.2012 and is meant for providing information about the whole Estonian film heritage from 1912. We plan fully complete it by 2025 but already now full and partial entries for about 20 000 films, 27 000 filmmakers, and more than 200 production companies could be retrieved in Estonian and partly in English. Translation of film descriptions and keywords into English is ongoing but due to the scarcity of resources quite a slow process. Read more detailed overview.
