According to director Andres Sööt the film has not been made for those who know nothing or don't want to know about the deportation that took place in June 1941. The film has been dedicated to those who can never again talk about this event, those who passed away because of the unjustness.

There are crimes that won't expire. One June night in 1941, Soviet authorities deported more than 10,000 people to Siberia from Estonia. Those who stayed alive in Siberia and made it back to homeland will have the chance to speak in the film. FIlmmaker Andres Sööt, whose family was also among those breaking apart because of the deportation in 1941, dedicates the film to all those sent to Siberia. This is a timeless responsibility - not to forget.
