The film is about a dysfunctional couple Rain and Deelia whose life goals and choices are moving towards different directions.

The story takes place during a 24-hour time frame marking Deelia’s 30th birthday where Rain reveals to her friends that they are expecting a baby. Rain plans to surprise Deelia with a birthday picnic in a newly bought house but things don’t go accordingly. Rain spends his night alone in an empty suburban house while Deelia is escaping reality, partying with her lover and friends. In the morning when the sense of responsibility hits, Deelia is taken to the house in the suburbs, where she is forced to face her problems.

Burlesque comedy filmed in Tallinn in early 20th century where among Estonian actors the following ones act: Paul Pinna, Betty Kuuskmann, August Kuuskmann and Alfred Sällik. Reputedly the first Estonian feature film that has been preserved.

The protagonist lives an easygoing bachelor's life. In order to get allowance from his well-off uncle, he has lied that he was married. When the uncle writes in his letter that he would soon visit the young man, the protagonist starts to find a "borrowed wife".
