It's a story about three Siberian Estonian women of different generations whose ancestors were deported from Estonia as criminals in the 19th century. Instead of prison, they ended up in paradise - a fertile land where people quickly rebuilt their lives. One hundred and seventy years later, the situation has reversed: some have already "got used to the life here", but for others, on the eve of the war, it is the last minute to travel to paradise, which on this occasion is Estonia.

The documentary produced in collaboration between Estonia and Finland tells about Sillamäe, a former strictly classified mining town in East-Viru county. The town "inherited" the depository of radioactive waste during the Soviet time.

Legacy is a documentary about the „closed city“ of Sillamäe – a city that Stalin founded for the needs of the first atomic bomb built in the Soviet Union. The local Estonian population was almost entirely relocated and the neoclassical resort town was virtually rebuilt for the Soviet elite working in the uranium enriching factory. Meelis Muhu's documentary tells the story of the Soviet monument - the Bronze Soldier called Alyosha that was located in central Tallinn. The events around the monument culminated due to the dislocation of the monument in April 2007 and the following events called the Bronze Night when massive rioting and civil disorder took place on the streets of Tallinn.

After Estonia regained its independence in 1991, most of the Soviet monuments were taken down. The monument called the Bronze Soldier in the central Tallinn, however, remained to its place. People have called the monument "Alyosha" - the statue depicting a Red Army soldier was erected in 1947 in honour of the memory of Soviet soldiers killed in the World War II.
