An intimate and fast-paced documentary-journal of two 18-year old girls.

Nele and Anneli are inseparable friends. One of them is a bit radical punk-girl, another above the average looking heart-breaker. Their different social backgrounds don’t interfere with their relationship. These girls feel the forming stratification and upheavals of Estonia’s changing society. They are smart, but they do not obey the rules. They are energetic, open-minded and eager to express their thoughts loudly. They take life at its fullest, living for the present day, not for one to come. The film follows their last spring in high school together combining girls’ intimate and immediate video journal with precise, stylistically professional camerawork.

Rein Mikke, born as an Estonian citizen, was adopted by Russian parents in 1950s. Now he is trying to overcome bureaucratic obstacles and restore his Estonian citizenship and related rights.

Born as an Estonian citizen in Viru county, Estonia, in January 1950, Rein Mikke was involuntarily adopted by the employees of The People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs (NKVD) and his name was changed to Vladimir Levchenkov, later Aleksey Levchenkov. Originally an Estonian citizen must acquire another citizenship while living in his homeland due to the fact that the act of involuntary adoption remained lawfully valid and Mikke's identity was proved only by his red passport. Estonian Film Database (EFDB)

The database is maintained by NGO Estonian Film Database. It was opened on 12.12.2012 and is meant for providing information about the whole Estonian film heritage from 1912. We plan fully complete it by 2025 but already now full and partial entries for about 20 000 films, 27 000 filmmakers, and more than 200 production companies could be retrieved in Estonian and partly in English. Translation of film descriptions and keywords into English is ongoing but due to the scarcity of resources quite a slow process. Read more detailed overview.
