The feature film directed by Jüri Müür and Grigori Kromanov is based on the novel "The misadventures of the New Satan" by A. H. Tammsaare, telling the story of Devil who becomes human and goes to live on Earth, desperately trying to live in the right way. He wants to prove that it is possible to become blessed with life on Earth.

When going to live on Earth as a human being, the Devil believes that through hard work and submissiveness it is possible to become blessed one day.
