Thousands of young people, including Estonians, went to work in Siberia, while believing in Brezhnev's idea. Tiit Niilo, the owner of Nopri farm in Võru county, has decided to continue farmkeeping in the lands of his forefathers despite all hardships. He works away for his dairy farm eight days a week.

Tiit Niilo comes from an old-established Southern Estonian family and builds his own dairy farm, he also tries to save the local school and hopes to bring the problematic issues of his home village to the Parliament. Tiit has five children - the strong family farm looks promising. So he works his fingers to the bone in order to keep his farm alive, to preserve rural life and to satisfy his ancestors. Both positive and negative aspects of living in the countryside are discussed in the documentary.
