This film is an interweaving of documentary narrative and animation. The first, based on historical sources, conveys Gori's biography, world events, and mediates the press and political life of the republican time. It moves along historical facts, is initially easy and fun, and in the end cruel and ruthless. Since there are no living witnesses from this era, nor are there biographers of Gori, the direct sources are photographs, old film clips, newspaper articles, sound recordings, letters and drawings. Soldier finds a stranger in the basement of an occupied house, whom he discovers to be a copy of himself from the future, on the edge of suicide.

Ivan, a slavic looking soldier, loots an occupied house and finds a silhouette of a person from his army attempting suicide there. As he tries to talk the silhouette out of taking his own life, a war- truck suddenly passes by the window and illuminates the face of the stranger. It is identical to Ivan's but damaged. Ivan has a panic attack and collapses as his future self warns of a prophecy.
