Irmeli Saarsalu was born on May 8th, 1984 in Tallinn, Estonia. Her mother is prima ballerina and ballet mistress Inge Arro and father jazz saxophone player, bandleader and composer Lembit Saarsalu. She graduated from Tallinn German Gymnasium-Deutschsprachige Abteilung (2003). She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (USA) in Foreign Languages-German (2008). Completed Dance and Voice courses at UNLV. Participated in courses at the University of Turin, Italy (2006) with focus on Italian and European Film and Culture. Completed Anthony Abeson Drama Studio in New York City, NY (USA) as Film, Television and Theatre actress (2010). Classes included basics of screenwriting. She has performed in Midtown Manhattan (New York City) at the Producers Club Theatres and Abingdon Theatre Arts Complex. Some of her acting roles include Ismene (Sophokles ”Antigone”), Billie Dawn (Garson Kanin ”Born Yesterday”), Sunny (J.D Salinger ”The Catcher in the Rye”). Has acted in Estonian television series ”Kodu keset linna”(2011), ”Kättemaksukontor” (2017) and films ”Mälestuspäev”(2020), ”Vee peal” (2021).
