    Denis Strashnyi

    Denis Strasnyi graduated Kyiv International University (speciality TV and cinema DOP, Yuri Harmash studio). Starting from 2009 Denis works as an independent filmmaker. He have created more than 100 shorts, music and advertising works as DOP, and near 50 as DOP, director and producer. His path in social activism has started from making social advertising. First social advertising of Denis has helped to collect more than 50 000 euro in 3 weeks for treatment of a child's cancer. That moment Denis realize the power of media in creating social shifts. Later his social advertising campaign was very successful, one of them have receive an award for best social advertising on Molodiya Festival’15 (Ukraine). Nowadays Denis Strashnyi passionate about documentary. He has participated several documentary "Indie Lab" workshops, Krakow IFF training for filmmakers in Kyiv, Kino Kabaret Prague, pitching session "Mlodzy o mlodych" in Warsaw and others. In February 2014, he was seriously injured while he was filming Revolution events in Kyiv. After that he fully dedicated himself to documentary art. In 2015 Denis has co-funded the NGO Docutoloka, which brings together documentary artists and social activists. Next years Docutoloka team have organise several documentary workshops and lectures for documentarists. One of them “Lab Docutoloka” was implemented under support of Polish governmental grant and was presented on the biggest ukrainian documentary film festival DOCUDAYS UA. In summer 2015 and 2016 Docutoloka’s documentary shorts program and photo exhibitions participated in “Black Sea Arts Festival” in Bucharest, Romania. Also short program dedicated to Ukrainian revolution and war was presented on ukrainian-syrian meeting in 2015 in Istanbul. In 2015 Denis Strashnyi start producing documentaries with director Ulyana Osovska. Their first short documentary film "Election Agent" become a part of annual almanach “Ukrainian voices 2”. Their full-length documentary debut "Almost 10,000 Voters" held a World Premiere at the 33rd Warsaw Film Festival. On the present time Denis Strashnyi works as director and producer on his own project (The Fairy Tale about the Wood Horse, in production) and also continue to work as DOP.

    1976

    Film producer Jevgeni Supin was born on August 15, 1976. He was graduated from the Baltic Film and Media School, MA in TV production and major in documentary film directing. Before that he had several studies in economic law (1995–1997 University Nord) and BA in electronic media (1997–2003 Concordia International University Estonia). He has been working as layout designer in different newspapers (1994–2001), as editing director in Northern Broadcasting Network (2001–2005), as producer in Balti Video (2005–2017), as CEO and producer in Zolba Production (2017 – to date) and as TV Beats Forum project manager  in Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (2019 – to date).
