Born in July 15, 1972 in Tallinn. Freelance scriptwriter and film director, lecturer of several courses about documentary, film editing and scriptwriting in Estonian universities. 2006-2012 worked at Estonian Film Institute as a Documentary and Development Consultant. 2013-2015 President of Estonian Cultural Endowment Audio-Video Department. Raimo Jõerand in his films this far has touched on subjects with great importance to the history of Estonia: the creation of Estonian state in 1917–1920 – „Moment of History“ („Hetk ajaloos“), the fall of it in 1944 – „Blue Hills“ („Sinimäed“) and the regaining of independence in 1992–1994 – „Rodeo“.
