Baruto, a young man from a small Estonian village, is the first Estonian and one of the few foreigners to succeed entering the glosely guarded circles of Japanese professional sumo. He has made a record-breaking career, earning the admiration of his countrymen as well as japanese. His tough journey to the top and gradual realization of the sumo traditions, strict rituals and hierarchies, helps portrey the difference between Western and Eastern cultures in Lost in Translation kind of way.
