Pro Patria ad Astra

Documentary about the history of Estonian aviation tells about the years 1918-1940. The title of the film – Pro Patria ad Astra – is the Latin motto of Estonian Aviation School "to the stars for one's fatherland". With the help of documents, photographs and rare film footage the documentary gives an overview about the aviation since the War of Independence to the destruction of aviation by the Soviet authorities in 1940.
