Arvo Pärt´s work Orient Occident was commissioned for the Berliner Festwochen and the premiere was on September 2000 in Berlin.
Film recorded the rehearsals in Tallinn, together with Arvo Pärt, before the premiere in Estonia on 7 April 2001.
It was performed by the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and conducted by Tõnu Kaljuste.
