Adolf is an artist who has the feeling that he has given too much of himself to his wife Tekla and is unable to paint any longer. His friend Gustav assures Adolf that there is more emotional debts in Tekla's history than Adolf can ever compensate. Settling accounts will release the hurricane of feelings and one can lost life in such disbalance.
