Forty Years Later

In the summer of 1998, a big group of Estonian mountaineers start their expedition to Caucasus Mountains to climb the highest top in Europe - Mount Elbrus (5642 m) in order to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first surmount of Elbrus by Estonian mountaineers. Current expedition is the first one for many members of the group. The documentary is a travelogue following the full journey to Mount Elbrus while concentrating on the thirteen most enduring mountaineers in the group who conquer the mountain peak.
