The scout camp "Metsakodu" by River Tidan has a festive opening on July 11, 1954. The inauguration and open air church service is held by church minister Elmar Tõldsepp and priest Abro Nael. Festive speech is held by the scoutmaster Arnold Gering, head of the Swedish Association of Estonian Scoutmasters. Gustav Ilves, head of the Centre of Estonian Scoutswork in Sweden, is present at the event. Letters of appreciation are handed over.
