The singing nation (2004)

Original title: Laulurahvas

Documentary Duration 25:44

The singing nation

Representatives of two opposite sides meet - Heinrich who is a fan of choral singing and who aims at preserving traditions; and a group of friends called "United People". Traditional patriotic choral music is opposed by sociocritical rap music. Heinrich believes that choral singing is the mother of Estonian nation. For "United People", the most important thing is individual musical expression. What comes from the heart of an individual will reach to the heart of another individual. Both representatives have dedicated themselves to music. In their own way, both are right.
