16th Song Festival and 8th Dance Festival took place in Tallinn on July 16-18, 1965. The presence of Anastas Mikoyan, head of the Soviet Supreme Council, and cosmonaut German Titov added ideological weight to the events. The documentary shows selected moments, beginning from the festivities in the city, lighting the festival torch and ending with the final song.
