The Era of the Estonian Crown (2003)

Ten years have passed since June 20, 1992 when Estonia switched to Estonian kroon that has been the basis for the state's economic autonomy. Monetary reform took place in various form - sometimes the times were funny, sometimes naive, unfortunately there were often quite harsh times. Today it is clear that the quick development of economy has not solved all problems and despite the independent, democratic Republic of Estonia not all of its people have found happiness. Estonian kroon has improved the state's economy, however, the fast growth of market economy has also caused social stratification, indebted consumer society and unemployment.
