Retrospective documentary about Karl Aru who was born in the beginning of 20th century in a farm and became a General Major of the Soviet Army. On his 80th birthday, he criticizes the degradation of rural life. Reportage about his official birthday party held in the Tallinn Officers' House, mingled by the journeys in his former home village.
