"This is the story of a man who could not tolerate happiness because he knew that it is immoral. Shakespeare in his day misundrestood everything. There is no reason to consider Hamlet a hero when it is his friend Horatio who is behind the whole story. Upon arriving back from stydying in Germany, Horatio discovers that everything is rotten in Denmark. Even worse, his friend Hamlet is after Ophelia and couldn't care less about taking revenge for his father's murder. Furthermore, everyone in Denmark is actually happy. Nobody loved the old murdered king - when Horatio becomes too bothersome by demanding the restoration of justice, Hamlet starts pretending to be mad instead. Thus Horatio has no choice but to start weaving plots in the name of high ideals because the morals of the state are threatened."
