The unsuccessful salesman Norman tries to win back the heart of his former lover Amelia. When his date plan fails, he seeks comfort in a bar with his friend Olaf, but unexpectedly, Amelia arrives there. The encounter escalates into an argument during which Amelia speaks about warnings she heard from a fortune teller regarding Norman's future. In light of this information, Norman rushes to the fortune teller Matilda, who tells him the harsh truth about his life choices.
