Leena is an ambitious fashion lover from a typical Estonian village called Pahuküla, who has decided to change her boring life and start a career in the city. Locals are excited for Leena and specially proud is her grandfather Tambet who works as a local bus driver. Unfortunately, Tambet dies the same day as Leena tries to leave Pahuküla. Tambet’s dying wish is that Leena would take care of the local bus.
Leena’s career plans have suddenly changed as her grandfather died. In order to fulfill her grandfather’s last wish, Leena has to find a new busdriver, even though the salary could not be any smaller. The task is even harder as Helju, Leena’s employer from Pahuküla’s trift store, is convinced that Tambet was murdered.
With no decent candidates for the busdriver position, local politician Villem Viiroja has to start driving the bus himself. In fact, the position is useful for Villem, as he is in love with Leena and is also generating unpleasant plans for the local public transportation system. He can’t enjoy his new job for long until a local inspector stops him and announces that Tambet was indeed murdered. The news turns Pahuküla’s calm life upside down and starts a local murder mystery.
